Geofix Ground Subsidence Solutions
What is Subsidence?
Subsidence is the effect of a structure sinking into the ground lower than its original position. It can have several causes, such as water erosion, the presence of vegetation, reactive clay soils, voiding, weak ground or poorly compacted fill, and seismic factors.
Geofix Soil Stabilization Solutions
With our Geofix proprietary materials and specialised polyurethane resin injection equipment and solutions, we can re-support, raise, and relevel complex structures along with sinking concrete (sometimes referred to as slab jacking).
- Slab Lifting – Involves injecting our proprietary resin beneath subsiding sinking concrete slabs to both raise and relevel them.
- Deep Injection – Application of customised polyurethane resins at predetermined depths to dynamically compact the ground and improve bearing capacity (also known as underpinning) and/or void fill/sinkhole repair.
- Stabilization of loose sand and soil – The injection of resin under structural foundations & footing to expand the ground and raise and relevel structures.
Permeation grouting using polyurethane ensures the consolidation and binding of soils. By injecting polyurethane resin in a gridded/sequenced pattern, we create a solid mass of soil and rigid resin, particularly effective for silty and sandy soils. This process displaces water, reversing erosion, improving soil stability, and enhances soil bearing capacity.
Our services extend to residential, commercial, and civil sectors, with applications including:
- Commercial buildings
- Warehouse slabs
- Transport yards
- Bridge approach slabs
- Sinkhole or void remediation under slabs caused by loose soil
- Driveways
- Areas with loose sand or soil
Partnering with leading polyurethane resin and foam manufacturers, we utilise their expertise and our custom-built injection rigs. Through this certified training and collaboration, we strive to become industry leaders across Australasia.
Our strategic supplier partnerships enable us to provide bespoke solutions for unique challenges rather than taking a “one size fits all” approach. We take a bespoke solution approach to match the scope of work best.
Frequently Asked Questions:
What guarantee do I get that the solution is permanent?
If the problem returns, we return.
We provide a fully guaranteed warranty on materials and workmanship.
How long until I can use my concrete after your work is complete?
You can immediately use the concrete slab or floor. However, the polymer reaches its maximum strength after 2 hours.
Is this solution expensive?
Our solution is cost-efficient; no need to excavate a site or replace the structure. We simply raise and relevel it.
How do you control the rise during the process?
We employ our state-of-the-art tools to ensure accurate adjustment, levelling, and stabilisation throughout our scope of work.
How durable is your solution?
We offer a 50-year warranty on our products. Our solution typically outlasts the life of your concrete.
What is the environmental impact of your intervention?
Our intervention has zero environmental impact. Our polymer formulas are completely hydrophobic and do not mix with surrounding elements. Moreover, the material’s inert nature eliminates any environmental risks.
How we perform foundation inspections.
One of our knowledgeable inspectors will draw a scaled diagram of the home and take floor elevation measurements after thoroughly inspecting the property inside and out.
We only move to step two if an issue with the foundation is found during the inspection. Our inspector will design a repair plan specific to the property and the issues facing it. They’ll then provide you with a scaled CAD drawing of your home, a full report on the findings, and a suggested repair plan based on those findings will be provided.
We will engage any other professionals that maybe required, such as Geotech and or council and complete to plan.
